Agriculture is one of Arizona’s top industries, and our agriculture workforce is aging. The average age of an Arizona farmer is 60. This bill would establish a state-funded program that would provide paid apprenticeships for beginning farmers and ranchers. This program will not only help beginning farmers and ranchers enter a critical industry in Arizona, it will also help sustain farms and ranches of all sizes, large and small, across the state.
